If you’ve decided to become a scuba diver, then the Open Water Diver course is where it all starts.
The Open Water Diver is the first and most basic level of certification in scuba diving, where you will learn the important foundational knowledge and skills to become a certified scuba diver – who is comfortable and confident in the water.
The Open Water Diver course takes 3-4 days to complete. With your instructor, you’ll have quick classroom sessions, followed by shallow-water confined dives to practice your dive skills before heading out on each open-water dive. Over the course you will have a total of four (4) open water dives, diving to a maximum of 18 meters (60 feet) – which is the maximum depth that an Open Water Diver is certified to dive.
Your Open Water Diver certification is recognized internationally and will give you access to dive sites within the maximum depth of your certification. Once you are a certified diver and have officially fallen in love with diving, you’ll definitely want to have access to more dive sites and not be capped to the 18-meter depth limit.
