BEGIN FREEDIVING

Start exploring the underwater world on one breath! The Molchanovs Wave 1 course is a fun yet comprehensive way to learn to freedive.

At the end of the course you should be able to dive comfortably between 11-20 meters.

If you’ve fallen in love with the ocean and freediving, then the Molchanovs Wave 1 course is an amazing way to learn the foundational knowledge and skills to become a safe and capable freediver.

Wave 1 Theory covers the physics and how it affects your body - and how your body adapts - as you freedive. Some of the important topics covered are pressure, Boyle’s Law, and the Archimedes principle, and how they are applied in freediving.

In the Pool you will learn dynamic disciplines, which are freediving for distance underwater- both with and without fins.

In Open Water you’ll be introduced to depth disciplines, including constant weight with fins (swimming down) as well as free immersion (pulling down a line). Most importantly you’ll learn safety and rescue techniques to progress safely as a freediver.

Pre-requisites:
To start the course you’ll need to be able to complete a non-stop 200-meter swim without fins.
